The Rasau Water Treatment Plant: A Groundbreaking Infrastructure Project
One of Gamuda’s flagship projects, the Rasau Water Treatment Plant in Selangor, stands as a testament to its innovative approach to infrastructure development. With a contract value of RM2 billion, the project is extensive, comprising a Water Treatment Plant, Raw Water Twin-system Pipeline, Pumping Station, Intake Structure, and Overhead Bridges.
At its core lies Malaysia’s largest Off-River Storage Facility, which ingeniously repurposes water from Sungai Klang and nearby tin mining ponds. By 2024, the first phase of the project will supply 700 million liters of water daily, significantly enhancing water availability in the region.
Pioneering Digital Transformation with Autodesk Technology
The Rasau Water Treatment Plant project stands out for its impressive implementation of digital technologies, showcasing a comprehensive approach to digital transformation. The project leverages Building Information Modeling (BIM), a robust Common Data Environment (CDE), and a wide range of Autodesk solutions, including Autodesk Construction Cloud and Autodesk BIM COLLABORATE, to facilitate seamless collaboration, streamlined document management, and efficient workflow management.
Furthermore, the project incorporates drone technology for aerial photography and data collection, providing valuable insights for site monitoring, progress tracking, and quality control.
